Finished my Jasper 512 Mb CB 6750 RGH today. Boots in about 20 seconds. May or may not do the capacitor fix depending on how I feel about it.

For any noobs to soldering about to do this, make sure you have a steady hand. You barely need to touch the points to add solder/ melt it to add a wire in. From personal experience, the QSB's may or may not be your friends. To me they seemed kind of tricky to use and I may just use direct wire next time.

All in all, a great 3 days of work

You definitely will. Provided you have the wires routed as per the guide, you'll see boot times of between 5-10 secs.

My 512 jasper is instant boot. One flicker of the green from the TX coolrunner and dash is loaded. With cap. With out cap it booted about 20 times really fast but notice the time was getting longer. Placed cap and no problems. Cold boot, warm boots doesn't matter.

Fitted the cap like you guys said and now i get an instant boot. Thanks everyone!
