Hard Drive does not support Locking???

Can someone please explain why when I try to lock my hard drive through ConfigMagic, it says that my hard drive does not support locking? How will I go about this? Is there a fix that I need to install into my xbox or sumtin? Please help. Thanks much.

Nope...it just means that yur HDD cannot be locked...some HDD's do not support locking...you shoulda check before you ordered a new HDD.

if you have an X3 why are you using Configmagic?

not sure y i use ConfigMagic. but it worked for me so i guess its ok. but yeah, i'll use the X3 program next time i get that hard drive.

If you install the drive with the slayer or enable the x3 live option you should be able to lock if from there.

only if the HD is lockable. Some aren't

most Maxtor and Western Digital hard drives are lockable
