I just got my premod system with the X3 and I booted it up fine about 15 times and was getting ready to flash the bios I had the flashbios utility booted up and my controller on the ground and went to burn the bios cd, when my younger brother picked up the controller and was playing with it and locked the Hard drive...now my system won't boot inless I leave it off for 2 mins and boot it up with out the x3 option on but if I shut it down right after and try to start it up agian it just turns on then turns off then turns on and frags....what do I do!?

sounds like you have a bad bios and/or flash. I would redownload the bios again and burn it to anothr cd and try again or else flash to another 1mb bank. Locking hd shouldn't cause FRAGs IMHO.

I'm not sure but you should be able to go to x3 configlive by holding down the white button at startup and I think go in to hard drive options and unlock it. It shouldn't be no big deal!!

Hope this helps!!!

problem is, Cheb41, he gets FRAGs when he boots and can't get on X3 config live nor flashbios. I still say it's bios problem.

I agree its a bios problem, a locked or unlocked harddrive shouldnt matter unless he is trying to boot into the ms dash. Probably a bad flash. Never touch any controller buttons when flashing. I also cant see how you can lock a harddrive in the flash bios screen. Something doesnt sound right.

Yes the newer X3 bios can lock/unlock hard drives. But that is obviously not the problem here.

Youre right !! I forgot about the new flash bios !!.
Anyways has he tried to boot into the flash bios screen by pushing the eject and power button at the same time when turning on the XBox. If he can get to the flash bios screen using the backup bios he might be able to reflash then
