Have any of you experienced this?
My son's Xbox crapped out a month ago. The hard drive started clicking loudly and refused to boot. His cries of no Madden 06 force me to start looking for a replacement drive on the Net when I get this bright idea to buy a modchip and toss in a bigger hard drive.
So, blah blah blah install the chip and boot up the first time. The drive starts ticking worse than the rockers on my 92 Geo Tracker as I figured it would. I must have installed everything OK and all is well except for the drive. I test all the switch settings to make sure all is working....and it is.
I get to the disable switch and much to my surpise...drive is working again. I figure it's a fluke BUT, now it works just fine. I restarted prolly 10 times in enabled and disabled mode and it fires up every time. Listened to tunes for about 2 hours and still going.
What do you think? I showed my box some love and look what happens!
Bones
P.S. I'm not a post whore
