GENERAL Hard drive question

my coolrunner nandx etc should be here weds so I am trying to get things in order. the question I have is I play a ton of divx movies on my 360 will I be able to store my back ups and movies on the same drive with all the fsdash stuff or do I need different drives. Also does any external drive work or is there a specific one thats recommended Thanks

I don't know about movies, I don't see why they can't be played from the HDD but with regards to the external HDD, you can use any regardless of it's capacity.

perfect thanks. i have a 1tb hard drive I was going to put in my laptop could I just get the case for the slim on xconsoles and use that?

Sure you could, as long as it is a 2.5" drive .

as far as I can tell transfering to the drive from the laptop would be a problem though right or does fsd have a way to transfer via network

You can use FTP to transfer files to and from the console using FSD.
