Alright, I have a 20gb hard drive in my 360 with my original xbox game data and dlc on it. My question is, would it be possible for me to upgrade that hard drive and transfer the original xbox content to the new drive? (and have it work of course)

I can copy all the 360 data, sure, but I can't copy or move any original xbox game data (saves or dlc). The only thing I can think of is the transfer cable, I'm using the same console so I don't see why the content wouldn't work once it was moved to a different hard drive.

I'll be testing a transfer cable soon as I'm not too confident in a definitive answer, and I didn't know it asks you what you would like to transfer, thanks for that bit of info.

As for using a flash drive, I can't move original xbox game data to an xbox memory card, let alone a flash drive. The only option I get with that data/dlc for say, halo 2 for instance, is to delete it when I go to the options. Xbox Originals is also greyed out when I use the "transfer content" option just to make it clear.

I am fully aware that I must format the drive to use it, I wouldn't be able to attempt to transfer (and be able to successfully transfer all of my 360 content but not original xbox content, such as halo 2, doom 3, and so on) content using the "transfer content" option in the memory section of system settings if the drive was not already formatted.

My box is for all intents and purposes, stock. It looks like I'll find out if it's possible once I test the transfer cable.

Took me long enough to get a cable, but I can confirm that it successfully transferred my original xbox content, such as my halo 2 map packs, to the new drive.
