Hard Drive

I just need somthing confirming so i dont waste time sorry if its been asked before.

I have a 1tb external hard drive for me to be able to use it with xbox 360 do i configure it with the 360 itself or do i format it with FAT32?
p.s I use macdrive to change the hd to +hps witch apparently uses FAT32 without the 4gb limit.

If after formatting to +hps, the drive is being recognized by the Xbox360, then no need to format it. If it doesn't, then format it to FAT32 and it will get recognized by the
Xbox360.

As for formatting using Xbox360, if you format it through it, all it will do is to make a 16GB data partition on the HDD for Xbox360 specific data use e.g. Profiles etc
