Have a XboX old, can't boot what now.

Hi all

I have the old XboX. (Hope some of you guys still is fun of it. I am)

It is running the evox 3935, the version is 1.6 (video chip is Excalibour and Samsung Memory)

The box can't boot. (Unfortunately I have ruined it my self!)

I was installing a new bios because I wanted a new and bigger HD. After that it can't boot.

I would like to reinstall the bios but very often I am reading something about some switches need to be set. But my box do not have any switches also not inside. (Or at least I can not find them)

I have tried to find out how to boot from the backup bios and reads I need to hold down the white button. But this do not have any effect.

My box is trying to boot three times, then ends up with blinking red and green, and no video. I have read that this occure if the bios is corrupt, which I beleive is the case.

Any suggestion for a noob xbox owner

Any help pointing me to any tutorials or whatever is appreciated.

Hi all of you

My again, adding more nooby questions to the first one...

Could anybody point me in the right direction for at least is this the right place to ask for those question?

Does any body know how to get info regarding the modchip that is installed in my XboX. I do not know how to determine it.

And I am not sure of the Evox dashboard. Is the Evox developed by the xecuter team? or is the xecuter an another dashboard/brand.

If those questions is answered in some kind of a tutorial or another docs, I appollogies, but I have not been able to find some.

And a last question, how to distinguish between forums regarding the 360 and the original XboX, I am not even sure if this forum is the right place for me and my old XboX.

Hopefully some of you can answer some of my nooby questions.

well, to answer 1 question, Team Xecuter does hardware, and software for their hardware. EvoX is a dashboard, which is software developed by the Xbox homebrew scene. to answer the other question, we need to know what modchip is installed.

The modchip was installed when I bought the XboX. I do not know how to determine which it is.

I have attached a picture, is this something you or somebody can recogninze?

Thats one nasty DIY solution, and it have nothing to do with TX or its products. I would recoment you to install a real mod chip instead, that would also fix your problem.
