LITEON DG-16D4S - SLIM have some questions about flashing slim Lite-On FW 0225

okay so i have a few questions.

i have a PCMIA VIA card with VIA VT6421 Chipset to connect to the drive.

i just bought a Xecuter Liteon DG-16D4S Unlocked PCB Xbox 360 Slim Replacement PCB.

okay so im wondering if these will work together.i have heard the "VT6421 Chipset" doesnt work with FW 0225

has anyone tryed these???

im also wondering about using my xbox360 to power the drive while i flash it. has anyone gotten banned for using the console to power the drive??? i heard they can tell but dont do anything about it.

i just spent 70$ on a unlocked pcb board so i really dont want to spend another 60$ for the x360usb.

but incase i have to thats my 3rd question does anyone happen to have a discount code for http://www.modchipcentral.com ????

Your Best Options is -Buy A X360USBPro(To Connect Drive To Your PC) & CK3(Any) [To Power Your Drive] !

BTW- You Will Need To Pay For Those At Once Time So Why dont want to spend $60 At X360USB Pro ?

reading slim drives with VIA works most of the time - writing slims with VIA is a completely different story - almost impossible...
The TX PCB acts like a slim PCB when u try to flash it so you will probably need the x360usb

It is not recommend to use the Xbox to power the drive as well as possible banning it makes power cycling hard while flashing.

Try it with your VIA and if it doesn't write then get a x360usb

if it was 40$ i would do it right now but damn 65$ is alot after i just spent 70$ for the pcb

haha i bought the console for 111$ off ebay so ive almost spent more on mod stuff.:facepalm:

well i really dont kno. ck lite only 22 not bad compared to what i just spent.but it will have to wait another week.
