i have a xbox with x2.6.

If i turn the xbox on w/ the eject button i get flashing green. I have to press the eject button again to get it to boot.

If i turn the xbox w/ the small power button i get solid green no video. I have to press the eject button after to get it to boot.

First i had the pin header install. I had that problem. I took out the pin header install and used the wire install. Still have the problem.

anybody know how to fix it?

would it be fixed w/ a new bios?

thanks

sounds like bios to me... solid green with no video and no sound ususally means you have your switches set to the wrong bank or you flashed the wrong bios.

it boots up fine. The wierd thing is, is that its always worked fine before. just recently ive been havin the problem.

i might try flashing the chip with the x2 bios. instead of the m 8

I doubt flashing the bios will fix it, since a bios doesn't just go bad. But, 5035 is a better bios, so you may as well. Have you changed video modes or anything like that?

I am having the same issue. I have tried multiple BIOSes and still have the same issue. The box is V1.5 with 2.6 and on all other installs I have not had the issue. I am not sure what else to try. Coupled with the eject to power on, the box is also freezing after X amount of time. I have checked all solder points, but nothing jumps out.

Any other thoughts?
