I'm using a laptop and a PCM/CIA card with the "VIA VT6421" chipset, so I think that's good.

I made a bootable thumbdrive using textbooks tutorial but wasn't able to complete the flash process on my 360's drive.

Can anyone shed some light on what error I may be doing? After booting up from my thummbrive I get.....

"please wait...."
Drive scanned:
1 IDE Sec Master
2 ICH6M Sec Master
Choose one drive: (I chose 2)
port:170, master/slave=a0

PS - Samsung MS25

that's what I'm left at?????....slowly trying to figure this out.

Did you hexedit using Xtreme Boot Maker? You should get XTREME to show up in the list for MTKFlash. If you can't even get XTREME to show up after using Xtreme Boot Maker, you probably can't use a PCMCIA card.
