Having Trouble Flashing from http..help

I have v.16, xecutor3 ce, i downloaded x3 3294 v16 plus and when i try to flash the bios it erases just fine but then it only loads about 20 percent. Then nothing happens. It doesn't shut down the xbox, the lan light flashes, the eject button flashes green and orange but nothing else. I tried loading x3 1959 first and i had the exact same problem. 3294 is the up to date bios i want to use but i am having trouble. can anyone help me???

Make sure your dip switches are set to "on on off off" or "off on off off"

They are the only two settings that should use for a 1mb bios.

when i initially boot up, it flashes red and green so i have to go to the backup bios. then, when i try to flash to "on on off off" it still locks up after 20 percent load, so then i try " off on off off" , same result.....still locks up. any suggestions????

Ideas:

Download a 256k bios and try flashing that to a 256k bank.

Disconnect the External switch, (automatically sets your chip to the 1st 1mb bank) and try flashing X3 bios again.

when i loaded the new flash bios it worked just fine to the 256k bios which was flashbios 3.0.3. so i turned off my xbox and took it apart and unplugged the control panel from the mod chip. plugged it back in and put it all back together. then i booted up the new flashbios on 256k and switched the panel to the 1 mb setting, "on on off off" and it still locks up at about 20 percent

When i said to disconnect the the switch, i meant leave it disconnected and then try flashing.

thanks rookio, that worked but it turns out that my control switch was being smashed by the actual controller inputs........once i rerouted my control panel cable it worked just fine, but i do have a question of how to network my computer using the ftp server so that i can transfer my files on my hard drive to my computer so that i can upgrade to a bigger hd
