I downloaded the X3 3108 BIOS and I tried to flash and it said that I needed to turn off Flash Protection on the chip. Well I had never messed with the switch on the chip and I had been flashing new BIOS ever since I had installed the chip.
I had received a new XBOX about a week ago, and I had to swap out the motherboards and I removed my X3 completely from the board and the X3 contro panel (original one w/ chip) (btw it is a pinheader install).
When I plugged the CP back into the chip itself I had some trouble getting teh small connector to fit snug. I got it in, but then I was curious. I removed the connector and looked at the small pins. It looks like I bent a one of the tiny pins on the X3. I am wondering if this is what is preventing me from Flashing my chip? Is there a setting in the X3 Bios that has a Bios Protect feature?
If this bent pin is what is causing me my problems, I don't know what I would have to do. There is probably no way that I could get it back into place because of how small teh thing is. I am guessing I would just have to purchase a replacement chip.
