Your friend can flash it for you by putting into his/her xbox and flashing like normal. Or they could boot up their xbox and do a hotswap. Or you could try buying/borrowing different controllers and try it again in your xbox.

I don't know exactly what the problem is coz i've never seen it before. Well i should say this, the problem is not that uncommon, but you have tried the fix that normally works... so yeah!

I would have to say that if a friend DOES have an Xbox with an X3 that you should have them put your chip in their box and flash it immediately.

One, that would prove whether or not your chip is flashable, and second, if it's already flashed then that's almost ALL the battle!

At one point I could interfere with my boxes flash, and what it did was boot with NO X3CL, and NO possibility to get to it, but it wuold run all code and discs. It wasn't until I rearranged the chip that it was able to flash properly.

So I repeat, IF you do have such a friend, utilize them!

Hotswp? Well, FIRST do a search on this forum for it, as I'm sure that it is listed somewhere, but do NOT attempt it on something that is a half-assed reply by one of the posters, make SURE it souds nice and clear before you do it.

The basic of it is booting an Xbox WITH a working modchip, going into X3CL, and going to the flash option, and BEFORE you start flashing it you pull off the chip SLOWLY not toasting yourself by touching pins, and sliding your chip onto the header, and then select the bank you want to flash on the switch. Then you flash.

Let me REPEAT,..this is NOT a step-by-step, and I FULLY reccommend that you search for the sticky with the PROPER instructions. This was just to give you a general idea.

Happy modding!

That seems like an unusual problem.. has the controller started working yet? Have you tried bypassing the chip (holding down power button) to see if the controller will work? Sounds to me like someone may have forgotten to plug their controller chip back into the motherboard when reassembling...
