having trouble glitching falcon, can't boot Xell

I have tried several times with J-Runner and Jtag Tool and cannot boot Xell. Nand dumps are good, everything runs correctly until i attempt to boot Xell. I only have a red light on CR, no green light at all. The power button slowly pulses twice then quickly flashes non-stop. I have checked alt points for continuity, which i have and also checked for bridged points and found none. I have reloaded my original nand and the original dashboard boots just fine when CR is switched to PRG. If i switch CR to NOR and boot with original nand, I now get a green light every 4 seconds from CR and eventually RROD after 30-40 seconds. I have attached pics and log file. This is a falcon, CB 5771, dashboard 13599. Any help would be appreciated.

1. You've soldered the yellow wire to the wrong point.

2. If it still doesn't work, trim back the green wire and resolder.
I can't believe i missed that. I just finished cleaning up for the night, I'll move the yellow wire tomorrow and post my results. Thanks for the quick response.

If you are referring to installing a ggbuilt dash of 14717 or 14719, yes.
Is the ggbuild dash downloaded by J-Runner when i choose to add a dashboard? If not, where can i find a ggbuild, is there a tutorial? I did a search but didn't see it mentioned much. Is it referred to as something else?

ok let me rephrase that: if you make a 14719 or 14717 dash with jrunner you can install it to your currently 14699 phat and it will be fine.

Just to make it clear, you do NOT have to update ANYTHING before you start the RGH process.

This is especially true for phat consoles, since you will no longer be able to glitch it using conventional methods once it's on 14717/14719.

Just want to make sure i understand this correctly.

1) I am on dashboard 13599. Once I have my nand and CPU key, i can update my dash directly to 14719 using J-Runner. Correct?

2) If I restore my original nand, will I be back to 13599 or will it remain 14719?

3) Will i then have to download the official 14719 update from MS and load using USB to get kinect and avatars working? I have seen this mentioned a few times.

thanks so much for the help

1. Yes - J-Runner will let you build either an RGH or Retail dashboard for 14719 without it amending the boot loaders.

2. Yes - if you flash the original dump back you will be exactly where you were before you started, including config and settings.

3. Yes - once you have the 14719 kernel running (either RGH or Retail), you can apply the 14719 System Update to get Avatars/Kinect working.

I switched my yellow wire to the correct point and I got Xell to boot. I created and wrote my new image with 14719 dash and xbox boots fine.

But I copied FSD to USB and when I boot I get an E71 error. What am i doing wrong now?

I created the image with DashLaunch Patches and modified the launch.ini. I have attached the launch.ini file.

I got it working. I unzipped FSD to my USB and i noticed Default.xex in the root dir and also in FSD\. I deleted Default.xex from the root and it booted properly. Thanks for all the help, you guys are great.
