I just picked up a 160Gig for my(1.6 X3) xbox. Should I set it so F: gets all? If so, how do I go about doing this. Also, will Evox reconize my game backups in this configuration. I want to use X3 for the format. I was unable to find a tut on this. Please don't bash me, Im still a noob. Any help or a point in the right direction will be greatly appriciated. :wink:

you want to set it so F gets all. also, you can use the x3 format (found in X3CL) but you will need to either FTP all the ms dash and other stuff onto it or use an auto installer disc like slayers or firefuckers.
evox wil still recognise all your backup games like this.

Thanks, I Backed up C & E, FTP'ed them to my PC, installed the new drive, used X3CL for the format. Copied them back over and all is well in my Xbox world. I ended up going with a 200Gig Maxtor drive. Office Depot has them on sale until 12/31 for $89. $159 - $50 instant rebate, and a $20 mail in rebate. My F drive is showing 181.32Gig free. I guess its time to fill it up

:lol: Blew out my Fan
Alright guys what was a simple upgrade went disasterously wrong. Long story short, in trying to swap out my oem fan for the talismoon blue fan, the adapter which they provided me with to convert from the oem 3 prongs to a 4 prong power plug, the wires fell out and in the process of trying to shove them back in the plastic cap the wirres touched and sparked thus giving me a two red light error and shutting off my xbox immediately the power brick was also red lighted. Now anything I plug in doesnt work as far as the exhaust port power, everythings else works as long as I keep a fan on it. So, anyone know if theres a fuse or something that blew out or anything I can resolder or repair on on the mobo to get power back to the prongs.
