HD is not unlocked???

I think both the banks on my x3 are set on HD locked..... I didnt back up files either??? What the heck can I do??? Thank you anyone who helps me fix my problem.. X3 1.6b 160gb HD

go back the original chip bios there's an option there to lock the hard drive play with your swith until you get back to the 3.0.x bios to lock.

Cant get back to that bios, tried all combos....The flash doesnt even read that my HD exisits

You don't want the 3.0.x bios. That's ONLY for flashing the REAL bios.

COLD Boot, holding in the WHITE button. You should come up with the X3 Config Live BIOS screen
Then: Disk Tools -> Current Hard Drive Setup -> Hard Drive Lock

Or maybe you didn't prepare your Hard drive in the first place?

WHAT?

Your hard drive being locked is independant of yor BIOS. If you HD is locked, then it is locked. If it isn't, it isn't.

It looks like English isn't your primary language...

Let me see if I can decipher...

You cannot get into X3 config live, correct?

Do you know where "the usual places" are?

if you have and can boot up the slayer auto installer 2.6 or so, there's an option to lock/unlock HDD w/out going into the bios/flash bios..

dunno what your smoking but the flashbios allows you to lock and unlock your hard-drive without flashing the x3 bios onto it.

Hold the power and eject buttons to get into flashbios and then lock and unlock from there.

I dont even think you know what your talking about or trying to do.

Bios banks have nothing to do with locking and unlocking so start from the beginning and tell us what youve done already with the install and then tell us what you want to accomplish.

I do know what I am trying to do. If you guys listened to me.... My X-Box is not reading my HD at all. When I open up both the flash bios and the backup Bios the HD does not show up. I dont get the prompts I am supposed to. It doent tell me what HD I have at the top and it doesnt have the locking and unlocking options anymore. This is why I could use some help, so If anyone has any ideas, please post them
