I'm trying to upgrade my XBOX HD to a maxtor 40GB (4D040K4). My XBOX have a xecuter 2.3 lite with evox M8 bios installed. I got an evolutionx v1.8.458 boot CD (The same one that i've used to install evox the first time I got my chip installed)
Ok, so I've replaced the HD with my new maxtor, jumpers set to CS, and everything looks ok. But, when I turn my XBOX on, with the boot CD on the DVD drive, I got that MS green screen telling me to send my xbox to a repair shop :S
There seens to be nothing wrong with my boot CD, as it loads ok when I'm using the original HD ... What am I missing ?!? Do I have to do something on my new HD before I can use it on the XBOX ?!?
