HDD E71 Error

Just installed FSD Dashlaunch and xexmenu on fresh formatted Drive. Set fan speed and game paths sorted a few bits in Dashlaunch and all working fine. Set xbdm as plugin tried to connect via PC with Xbox 360 Neighborhood giving error so restarted console to find E71 with HDD in but boots fine without.

Tried fatxplorer xport360 and PC can't see the HDD so im thinking its dead.

Is there anyway to recover the drive back or even format it again ?

Hi, does you hard drive appear in device manager in windows? If it does I'd try and format it again and see what happens, tho if its dying then it'll do it again soon enough, so may best try and find another drive.

Sounds to me u have a corrupt file on your HDD. Or u have a default.xex type file on the root of your HDD. Delete the file that's causing the problem or just format the drive.

I do have xbdm.xex on root of HDD but i can't see that being the problem as im sure thats where it goes. Would love to delete it or even format it again but can't find anyway to do it.

Edit:
Got PC to show the drive deleted xbdm.xex and boom its working again.

Fresh download and install of xbdm and all is working fine. Looks like you was right geek corrupt file.
