i got my x3 on my 1.6 running nicely and i need to install a 200 gb harddrive and i followed these directions

Go to Settings > Network > Enable DHCP. Back out to the main menu, taking note of the IP address in the bottom left of screen. Scroll down to Cold Reboot and hit A.
FTP into the box (ip-address, user: x3 pass: x3) and copy the C and E partitions to the folder you just created.

i am having trouble ftp'n to the xbox. i used ie, am i supposed to use flashfxp?

When you enable DHCP it is my understanding you get a new ip number after reboot. If you have no connection, you may want to try turning it (DHCP) off, restarting, assigning a new easy ip number, then booting to the bios. From the bios you should ftp using x3/x3 and whatever ip number you had. You can't ftp from the normal x-box dash by the way.

i dont use flashfxp because i dont know how to use it (i use ie). i have a 1959 bios dashboard. when i turn the xbox on with dhcp inabled or diaabled, the computer says local area connection connected....

ive had this ip assress: 192.168.0.1
am i supposed to change anything on the computer?

you dont' need flashfxp, but IE isn't going to work properly for FTP
just copy and paste thiss into the ftp server box of your ftp client
ftp://x3:[email protected]:21 assuming your ip is 192.168.0.1 as you mentioned

if you are using a router... having an ip address of 192.168.0.1 is going to cause problems with your networking.

my suggestion is to set your xbox to a static IP. Then you won't have any problems with a DHCP assigned address changing on you.

Try these:
IP: 192.168.0.10
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.0.1
DNS: 192.168.0.1


Then ftp into your router with the url similar to above except with the ip here.
ftp://x3:[email protected]

The problem with having 192.168.0.1 as the xbox IP address is that normally a router will take this IP itself... and your computers will then try to dns through the 0.1 address and it will not work.

This happened to me at first, the xbox somehow took the 0.1 address and whereas i could ftp into it, my other computers could not access the outside world.

spoof help

good day can any one help with this problem i have before i buy another drive.

ok here is what happen i have a hitachi 79 fk that was dead but i have the org keys abde every thin so i bought a new drive to spoof it in (hit 59dj) after a few days or askin and checkin other tut with not much help i did the spoof with jungle flasher. it worked but i didn't notice i had to flash the virgin drive with ixtreme first so now every time i try to do any thing to it am getttin this

you need to restore the drive first

then flash ixtreme, THEN spoof
