HDD Lock question

I am running a 1.6 with X3 with evox and basically i've been told that my HDD may not be locked... how can i check. When i go into system settings and go through the config file it says that it is locked however i cannot boot into M$ dash. is there another program i can use that will tell me if it is locked or not?

Use X3 Config Live, it's built into the BIOS and part of what you paid for no need to use anything else.

ok i didn't install the bios so i have no idea what someone did... where can i check?

although i did find out that the HDD is locked. how would i boot into x3config live?

Hold down the little white button while booting the Xbox - this brings up the X3 BIOS menu.

From there, just follow the menu options for Disk tools and you'll find the disk lock and unlock tools.

It tells you here if it's possible to lock it and if it is, whether or no it IS locked.

AND: Back up your BIOS and copy it to somewhere else safe (or copy down your HD lock password and keep it somewhere safe). If for some reason your xbox ever dies, you'll need the unlock password to EVER use that HD in ANY way. Including formatting it for a PC.
