A friend of mines formated and configured a HDD on his Xbox and gave it to me for mines. However I am getting an error 6 due to the HD being locked. I have read that only the Xbox that locked it can unlock the HDD and now this for me is not an option as my friend lives out of the country. Is there any way I can unlock the HDD. I've read about Config Magic however I can't even boot up in the X3 with this HDD. Please help

You need to find out how he locked it, or if he's ever locked/unlocked it with ConfigMagic.
Apart from that, the only other way is to get him to send you a copy of the EEPROM backup details generated from HIS ConfigMagic.
