I have an x3ce 
in my xbox right now with the retail harddrive . I have a 120gb WD harddrive, acting as a paperweight right now , that I would like to add to my modded xbox. Now the problem is that the hdd was used in another xbot and is locked to the eeprom on that xbox (witch I don't know ) when i put the drive in my box I get error 6 (hdd error) and cant load the x3 config. Would a hotswap work ? If worse comes to worse i will reformat the drive but I would rather not lose the info on the harddrive if i could get some help it would be nice?
