JTAG hdd upgrade using tranfer cable

hi,

wonder if you can shed some light, i know jtag read any size hard drives, but was wondering if it is possible to upgrade from say 120GB to 320Gb (info priovided by iave9504) using the hddtransfer cable as i use my external to put my originals on.

if it is possible will it transfer over all file like xexmenu?

any help would be appriacted

If you're doing this on a JTAG console, it should just work as normal.

I actually tried this and it did not work on two non-xbox drives. I believe the cable/dash checks for official MS firmware on the drive or something.

Very odd issue, possibly you have to flash the hdd.

sorry for the late reply, i have upgrade my hdd using the transer cable no problems, i put the new hard drive on the console and the old one on the transfer cable while the console was off and booted up straight to the data transfer screen and all went fine
