Hello

I have x360 jasper 512 , I did RGH for it before 30 days and it was working perfect but now it is not working through HDMI , only from AV cable .

I have another Jasper with RROD , do I have to change the HDMI chip ? or how to fix it ? which chip in mobo is HDMI chip ?

Thank you in Advance

Not likely, but possible that the HDMI input on your tv is broken.

From what I've read it seems that the RGH is doing some number on the Hana chip and may need to be replaced. That is according to a fellow TX member WNYconsoles.

Seen this a few times, on non-RGH consoles. In fact I am using a slim now as my personal console because it will not work through HDMI port, so has pretty much no resale value imo. Anyway have seen it on Jaspers too, figure it could be a dodgy solder joint on HDMI port but haven't had time to test that theory out yet. So I don't think it's solely RGH related.

I've got a jasper 512mb the same, problem is the socket is soldered on the top and you can't see it unless you remove the av connecter, it's controlled by the hana so I suspect it's to do with that.

Know this as well.

Had the GOW3 Edition Trinity. Was working perfect with HDMI under Stock Dash...

As soon as Glitch Image was flashed no way to get it working with HDMI... AV - Component no Prob....

Customer found it quit strange me as well...

He accepted it cause i gave him an Component Cable with the Mod so he was happy. 3 Days ago he called me and said everything is working perfect now (HDMI) but only on his TV and his Girl´s TV....

But never had a clue what caused this. Only know even if ya don´t want to here it.. ;-) ps3 has problems like this to. Sometimes just don´s work with some Models?! Had a few here. Never found out what it was...

Anyway may some of the "Cracks" know more.

Could the ground wire -although unlikely- for any reason cause this? as its connected to the (AV / HDMI ) port

Why dont you double check your soldering and post some pics

Yeah and chances are you're gonna cause a hell of a lot of damage removing that so practically I don't think it can be remedied.
I did a search some time ago and someone said they fixed it by fitting a new socket, but with 30+ connections on the av, then the hdmi ones, I'm not sure they did? And a socket to fail would be unusual.
Just had a few minutes to give it a look, and I've found 2 strange readings on a couple of chips, if I get time over the weekend, I'll swap them out from another board, check EG2A1-EG3A4

I'm not 100% on that but the way it looks yeah. I really hope they use a oscillator to the next gen chip so hopefully we can avoid using the HANA for the timing.

is there any guess on what is causing the problem?
Seeing there are a few people here being affected by this makes one think its a serious issue.
will be checking this thread to be informed about the outcomes.please keep us posted guys

Does HDMI work fine when the console is booted using the stock NAND?
Check this, it will eliminate hardware issues

Otherwise it is defiantly hardware, then before you do anything with the HANA just double check traces and resistors on both sides for any damage
