GENERAL HDMI problem with slim but not with PHAT same settings

Hi,

I have both a slim and a phat xbox trinity/falcon that I have RGH.
Now I also have an ACER projector which I use in my gaming room. This projector has only DVI so I use an audio extractor and hdmi to dvi cable.

Because I painted the wall (yes I did that haha) for 720p (widescreen much more beautiful) I wanted both xboxes to run on 720p.

The phat xbox worked as soon as I plugged it. The slim however booted but wasn't showing an image.
I reflashed the nand so all the settings where reset and when I plugged it in my projector it showed an image at 480p and the audio extractor was working perfect.
Now when I choose 720p the image goes dark again, my projector says that this is unsupported and the audio extractor is also not working (very weird).

Is there a difference between hdmi ports slim and phat? I'm using an old projector but it can handle 720p from my phat...
Can I copy the settings from the phat xbox to the sim? Would this even matter? If it could help, how do I do that?

More advanced would be to debug the hdmi port. I have a scope but I don't really know where I should start.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Will,

Yes I reflashed with a new xebuild so all the settings where default. Then it worked at 480p. But this is not how I painted my wall
I really like it to run at 720p. That's by the way the only setting that is not working.

Is there a way to copy settings from my phat xbox to my slim. Extracting them with 360FlashTool and injecting them in my nand or something like that?
