hdtv problem

Hello - I have an hdtv that supports 480p and 1080i - I have run the xbox on this tv for quite a while on component video cables - getting hdtv out of the games that support it with no problems etc... Now that I have an xecutor 3 installed - the machine boots up - and things look ok - I'm not sure what mode the boot up screen is in but anyway - if i enable only 480p mode, then as soon as it switches to evox dash - the sync goes out of range and I get garbage on the screen - if I enable only 1080i mode - things seem to work ok for the most part - except, when I use the media center (one of my main reasons for modding....) the sync goes out of range... As far as I know - the video should work fine with 480p and 1080i enabled, but I get out of sync problems... Anything to check/setup etc. to fix this? I could run in straight composite mode, but many games do look _much_ better in the hdtv modes.... Any ideas? Thanks.

well the only advice i could give is that u mite need to update your bios to 1959. if u already got 1959 then i dont know what to say. i've never seen any sync issues with my setup.

What about 720? Is that enabled too? If not try enabling that as well.. You have HD settings in the M$ bios and the X3 bios...Make sure they match each other....

Hi,

Yeah, the latest version of the bios fixed the problem - I mucked around so much trying to get the thing to work at all that I forgot I flashed it with an earlier version of the bios - going to 1959 fixed the problem - now everything seems to work perfectly... Thanks a bunch for the suggestion - jogged my brain to set the thing up right...
My stupid tv doesn't support 720p - I wish it did - just bought it too early - when most of them didn't support that res - I bet the xbox looks pretty good at that res (what games are there that support it?)

Re: BenQ LT v1.1 ban?

No one knows if LT 1.1 is truly undetectable. The only way to know is this year's ban wave.

Nobody knows for sure.

Everyone agress though that having LT 1.1 on your console is your safest bet.

lilsouljaboi, maybe you just had a bad backup you put in because LT doesn't stealth anything, so the game could have been non stealthed, resulting in a ban.

Re: BenQ LT v1.1 ban?

LT 1.1 is the most current firmware and probs the best option for going online. Not just this, but u gotta make sure that ALL of your games are patched correctly!

All games must be SSV2, splitvid etc

Oh, and don't play games before they're released!!
