So I upgraded from my old 2.3 to an x3ce today on a 1.6 box.
I was going mad trying to figure out why the hell FlashBIOS wasn't loading... I just kept getting a blank screen! No frag, just a blank screen. I knew I had soldered everything correctly but out of depseration I removed everything and soldered again. Still same issue. Ms dash loaded fine.
I was pulling my hair out until I tried one simple thing: Unplugging my HD pack and using the standard RCA connections that come with the box. Sure enough I hit the power and flashBIOS is right there waiting for me.
I don't know if anyone has had a similar problem, but I hope this helps. Maybe a note about this should be added to the flashBIOS tutorial considering HDTVs are becoming more and more commonplace.
