What's up guys. I'm a new member as of today. 8) I hope I can contribute and assist you in anyway :wink: as I'm willing to learn from you guys :D . I currently have 2 360's, one has a samsung ms25 with extreme 5.2b ( does not read my backups anymore and can't reflash it because it's stuck with the firmware guard :cry: ) and only reads 2 backups for 10 minutes and then I get the reading error. My other xbox is a Hitachi v0078..has just been flashed with success using xbox360 toolbox with the help of your tutorials, ..thanks to you guys. :)

I'm the average "Joe" computer programmer :p but my I work in the school district in 6,7,and 8 grades. (crazy kids if you ask me 8O )....

Hopefully within time you will get to know me... :wink:

:D

First of all welcome to the forums.

To reflash your ms25 you will need to download and burn the enable 0800.iso to a (as you have 5.2 installed single layer dvd-r) but i have mine on a dual layer, when you boot to dos then power the 360 on insert the enable 0800 dvd into the 360 then let it spin up then count to approx 20 then eject (this unlocks the firmguard) then proceed with the reflash.

the above is to just let you know :)

but i think the problem you are having could be the fact you chose 5.2B as FOr Xtreme 5.2B backup Read Speed is always quiet/slow. Original discs unaffected.

i would go for 5.2C as FOr Xtreme 5.2C default backup Read Speed is same as original game disks 12x. When Original Game disk is booted, all subsequent backup loading will be at Quiet/Slow Read mode, Original Game disks are unaffected. Turn console off/on to reset back to Default backup read speed (12x). Quiet/Slow Read Speed is for quiet operation and/or cheap DVD+R DL media.

it also could be a problem with the drive it's self or the media you are using for your backups, what media are you using?

but imo reflash to 5.2c and see if that helps

you can download the enable 0800.iso here;

thanks for the reply. I have the enable.iso burned on a dual layer disk -Verbatim-. I was able to flash the samsung a couple of days ago and I would let it run for about 10 seconds , but all off a sudden it stopped flashing. It just hangs on the ms-dos screen.
