Help>cant figure out flashing

Ok, I installed everything, the blue light turns on when i power up, I get into the bios menu fine, but i dont understand how to download the bios's off the xecuter site. I click on "download now, but all i get is a bunch of symbols, so i tried downloading it by "save target as", and the flash through HTTP, and it fail because of size or something. I go WinRar, but have nothing to unwrap, because i can figure out how the lownload the bios. \\


Ps. I have a 1.6 and the proper modifications to allow the x3 to run properly.........i think...I can power up with quick top, and light is blue, Purple:for 256k backup, but when i try to disable the chip, the led goes red, and i release the power button, and it poers off.

Can anyone help me?

You don't get the bios from TeamExecuter's site. Try going to channel #xbins on irc and you can get it from there.

What sites do i download bios's from? I went to xbins.com, and cont figure out how to download them.

Are you in the actual xbins site? Do you have an ftp client? If you are, click on bios and then executer 3. Open that and download 3294. Get yourself WinRAR to open the rar file you just downloaded. There will be a file 3294v1.6plus, this is the bios you need for a 1.6 xbox. 3294 is for all other versions.

You can't download the X3 bios directly from a website. It is not allowed.
Teamxecuter download section has tools and a legal bios FlashBIOS on it which is already on the chip.
