ya not my best work but you can tell the pads are off was that how your board is?

this had the cpu pll bypass pad gone and the resistor.

this may not be upto the standards of the pros but it working.

i just got to securier the wires and put heat wrap round the resistor and 2 wires.

here is how it ended up.pic aint that good i no.

boots like a falcon should.one blink of the green light.

kk thanks i got it to boot once but now i think i fried the cpu so ya thats it for that board im not sure what happened but it started to smoke and now i have 3 red ring of death.

@DgenX where did you solder the resistor to , the r7r17 pad I suppose . the top or bottom?


I have a board in very much the same condition ,the R7r17 Resistor has come off as-well as the pad .


I also lost the c7r7 cap , however this shouldn't matter !

So I just need a 10 Ohm resistor to replace the R7r17??

Where's the Alt Ppoint , Can you mark it on my picture?

i soldered a wire to where i put the red circle.then solder the other end to a 10k resistor.

on the other side of the resistor i then soldered the green wire that comes from the coolrunner and the wire from the alt point.
