I followed Textbook's guide step by step for the ms28 driver but got some problems on the way:
1) When creating the bootable USB i got MD5:C91C95B51D77823F2CFBC60FE538A841
which is different than the code shown in the guide, dunno if it matters
2) When trying to iDump in DOS it gives me an error of drive not detected
and than some ERROR! with origin.bin and abborts the process

Im confused and have no idea what should i do, any help would be highly appreciated

I have the VIA 6421 pci sata card (for some reason in the device manager is says "VIA RAID Controller - 3249", dunno if it matters).

i think its picking up your computer sata drive.click the little blue down arrow beside "via raid controller 3249"
then select the other one.that should be your pci card.

The other option there is SCSI/RAID Host Controller and when i choose that it says "MTKFlash cannot support thia device" and no Dev ID is generated.

I had a similar issue before my flashing, the mobo had a via, and I also had the 6421 card, I installed the drivers, and they worked for BOTH, I can either use the mobo or the card for flashing. The important thing is updated drivers.

Hey I am having the same problem, I assume you have the Creative I/O VIA VT6421L? It shows up in device manager as "VIA RAID CONTROLLER - 3249" and for device status says "This device cannot start (code 10)" - I cannot find any drivers for this card which work in windows xp, the drivers which came with the card dont work, and the drivers downloaded from VIA dont detect any compatible device. Also in Iprep I get no device found. I am using the card with a asus a8n32-sli mobo with nforce4 chipset. Did you get this sata card to flash your samsung? I think I am going to send mine back and try the Roswell vt6421 from newegg.

MrPibb here is a link to get the drivers for the VT6421 pci card....

http://360hax.com/download.php?view.45

DO NOT INSTALL THE VIA RAID CONFIG UTILITY

only install the drivers.....

this should resolve your problem...
