Help ftp to xbox

I'm a noob. I'm trying to network my xbox with my pc. I've got a 1.4v xbox with an xecuter 2.6 lite mod chip. I'm using evox bios and evox as my dash. I went to set up my network using a linksys switch. One rj45 cable running from the ethernet card to port 4 in the switch. One running from the back of my xbox to one of the other ports. It says no link. What am I doing wrong?

Are you sure the switch is working? Did you use a crossover or patch cable?

your the one thats say xecuter don,t help and the chips are bad well
have you pinged ip of xbox
is your ip of you pc close to the one on xbox
is your nic working
did you give dash static ip
did you use xbox as user and password
did you type in the correct ip
if you have not check these and go out and buy a sh*ty chip from some other poorer modchip maker then you will get the same prolbems
its not the chip
