Description of problem: I wired the chip up without the aud clamp and the console was doing some weird sh*t like the green light was flashing about 3 times and no lights where showing on the RF board. I reworote the OG nand and created an aud_clamp xell image, wired the aud clamp changed jumper thing for 1&2 to 2&3. The same thing was happening so i moved the plastic thing on the JTAG QSB to the right. The console was glitching but i kept getting rrod 0010 and i cant find a good dip combination. I have 7 on and have tried all 1-6 one at a time and no luck?

Was the console working before you started: Y/N

sorry re-read you OP and see you said you did them one at a time. its hard to see the post out qsb, very blurry. grab a multi meter and test each point on the post qsb to make sure there is no bridge, also test each one again ground, i believe it should read around ~120k

also i'd examine the ribbon cable (make sure there's no knicks or cuts/ect to it. i had a falcon that was 0010 on every combo, then noticed that the ribbon had a little cut in it, replaced it and it was good. just an idea.

jeez i didnt even notice. sorry lol. ok now you need to just go thru the combos, since you only have a nand-x so no way to use the rater this part will be more difficult.

None of the combos im trying are booting. What should i be trying 7 on and then all the others one at a time?
Or am i doing 3 at a time now? i got it to boot xell with picture before but now when i try to boot xell the console RF is telling me its booting but theres nothing on screen. ima bout to throw this console out the window. I did a jasper earlier today and it went fine however this console is a pain in the ass. Do i need to try the voltage jumpers? also what jumper should the jumper on the jtag QSB be set to? left or right?

yea leave 7 always on, then 1-6 one at a time. yes try the voltage jumpers, put it on 1.2 first, then do 1-6, if no luck, then switch to 1.8. on the jtag qsb make sure the one switch is set to on, the other switch just leave it to the left, the console will still boot, you'll mess with this later when you get it booting to tweak the boot time.

Ok so went through them all without voltage jumpers, no luck. Went through them with 1.2 no luck and same with 1.8. Im really getting annoyed now lol

If 7 and 2 was giving you E79, that's the boot setting.

You soldered AUD_CLAMP to the wrong point which is why it didn't boot.

Don't mess with the JTAG QSB - leave it set to ON and 0(or 330/470 provided you have the jumper in place).

Since you are a noob, you really shouldn't be doing this without RATER.

Thanks for the reply Martin. Everything seems to be working now. I just cant find the right settings to get it to boot. I curently have the freeboot image writen to the console. I have resoldered everything and touched up the post points. Do you have any suggestions on what settings i could try? im not a complete noob, ive done over 20 consoles and the only issues ive ever really had have been with RGH2 phats and this one. Please respond with some suggestions on what I could try.

Thanks
