I am planning to get my 360 glitched. But the thing is, I dono if iam good in soldering .. I did all the firmware flashing thing by myself... That being said, Iam not sure if i could do this successfully.. If its that easy, someone please help me with the process.. The main problem is there in no one in my place who can do it for me :(.. So, Iam now planning to take the risk of doing it by myself.. Some help here would be appreciated..

I have a phat jasper .. I dont have any special tools or hardware with me.. As I managed to flash my drive with just a sata cable as its a liteon one.. So, i need to know all the tools and hardware that are required to get this RGH done(easily:) ) my myself..

Since, Soldering is the only hardest part(i guess), is team-xcuter's QSB from xconsoles would get the job done easily??. because margin of error is less and its permanent .

TY

I did the soldering for my JTAG, and also for a test RGH. From what I recall, there were only three points that need you to be extra careful. First, the tiny point for the JTAG switch [I used the NAND-X, so the point I'm referring to is the one one to the left side of the console if you are looking at it from the front]; what I did was to lightly rub a fine tip hex screw driver to remove any plastic coating it might of had then I applied a dab of flux [the Radio Shack white tub kind], the moment I touched it with the soldering iron, the solder I had on the tip transferred beautifully onto the point. From there it was easy to solder the lead with the diode. The other points are the ones on the underside of the mother board [in the case of the Matrix Glitcher I used because CoolRunner was not out yet].

The rest of the points are rather large, if you get the nand-x, it becomes a lot easier since it has the quick solder boards included.

PS: Use the lowest soldering iron you can find; I think I bought a 15w from Radio Shack long ago, they might have it. I used a digital soldering iron this time around.

this really isn't for the first time solderer and i cannot stress enough how much you should practice on something else first. also never NEVER scratch at a pcb with any metalic object  you can easily remove a pad and cause yourself a whole heap of trouble sorting it out or have a dead console. a fibreglass scratch pen is easily obtained cheaply so there is no excuse for not using one and it will clean the points very easily and above all safely.

Use this video as a guide

Hmm, most of the points are huge, you shouldn't discourage people from trying something on their own. I did a PS2 back in the day and those points are 1/2 the size of the smallest one you can find involved with the XBOX 360.

Also, you can peel off the pcb coating with anything basically, it just a matter of how gentle you do it.

i didn't discourage in my post i advised doing some practice on something else first and discouraged bad practice like your suggestion of scraping the points with a screwdriver
You made up that idea on your own, I said LIGHTLY RUB, you inserted SCRATCH. For someone from the country where the language originated, you sure can't read worth a damn.

You are talking total sh*t.

use coolshrimps jtag tool - that is as noob friendly as it gets - coupled with the install instructions in the "coolrunner support forum" section of the site - you can't go wrong.....the only thing I did different was to generate the ecc file using bestpigs ecc generator and then continue with jtag tool

Thanks bro.. Is there any good tutorial for soldering PHAT QCB, coolrunner to the board??

BTW, I have got a 25 watt soldron's soldering iron with me.. Will it do the job?? Only thing is that the tip of the soldering iron is little big.. So, planning to get a pointed soldering bit..
