Help i have know idea what sata card i need!

Im totally to this i need to go by a sata card but i would prefer to do it through my laptop instead of my desktop. is there anyway to make a sata pcmcia card work with the samsungs?

Or does the chipset upset it to much? would it even work once you were in dos?

Dont confuse me to much tho hahahaha

i read of people trying to get a sata working in a laptop.im not sure if they got it going.all the guides are for the desktop computer.this goes over most if not all things

man i did read that someone was trying to get a sata in a laptop to flash with ill look around when ive got time.

Ive had a brainwave what if i get an external hdd enclosure with usb to the computer then atach a sata cable inside the enclosure and run that to the drive by the way its a samsung?

But wat software would allow me to flash it via usb? cause as far as the computers concerned it would see it as and external drive. . . . . .right?

could you make this work? and whats a flashing software you can use in windows? without using dos or linux?

the v25 and v28 need a via chipset and a sata hook up as far as i know.
