well, this is my first mod ever, and when I soldered the first time I could'nt get my 3.3 volt led to light. so I tried to desolder the pcb board from the motherboard and ruined the solder point where it solders to the d0 on the motherboard. I took all of the silver shiny part off of it. now when I hooked my chip back up all the lights on the chip work, but it just boots to the m$ dash and the led on the external switch stays red. the faq said that this is a d0 problem so I moved the grey wire straight to the motherboard and soldered it on the d0 point there. still just the red led on the external switch. I have desoldered and resoldered the d0 to the motherboard at least 20 times in the last hour and still can't get the switch to light blue. can this be caused by anything else ? or is this only caused by the d0 not being hooked up right. everything else works fine and I can still boot to m$ dash, but I want to get this chip working and swap out my hardrives and back up my games. thanks in advance for any help :D

I read somewhere that there was a way to solder the d0 wire (grey wire) on to a d0 point that is located on the top of the motherboard. does anybody know if this is true for v1.6 boxes ?? and if so does anybody know where this point is ??? thnks in advance

I know where the d0 is on the bottom of the motherboard, my problem is that I don't know where the one is on the top of the mb. Does anybody know where this is ?? and how difficult it is to solder to ?

looking to mod

hi there my 360 elite garuntee runs out in a few months and i want to mod it so it.... 1. looks cool (black and green) 2. runs cooler and 3. is done on the cheap (im a tight a**)

i like the big plexi glass windows with the whisper max fans with green leds and maybe better cooling for the cpu / gpu

would love some insight / suggestions before i rush into it and screw it up lol

or maybe even some pics of others like the ^^ description??

ur going to need a dremel , plexi glass and the leds and fans u want. if u want it cheaper u could just do a 12v fan mod but that does make the fan alittle louder
