Hello, i have bought a new Switch on the version 1.0. Should i update it by going online on my switch by the official firmware to 6.2, or use the Sx Os on the 1.0 and do a nand backup and then update offline ? What do i do?
And i have only an sd card of 128 Gb, i saw in some threads that it wont work until i update my switch, is that right?

Since you have a 1.0 switch it might be cool to keep that, but there really isn't anything really out that requires a lower firmware.

What you could do is if you want to keep the 1.0 sysnand is make a nand back up (Always do that before doing anything if you are using the sysnand instead of emunand), then enable and update the emunand to 6.2. That way your sysnand will stay clean and on 1.0 if there really is anything in the future that comes out, but you can use emunand on 6.2 for everything. Just keep in mind going online will for sure be out of the question unless booting to a clean sysnand and even that is not 100% if you have run CFW in any way.

Thanks for the attention guys!!

About the System Nand Backup, can i do this before installing SX OS ? What are my options ? I am thinking about doing this in a clean way without risks!

About the update offline, is it safe ? Prevent to burn efuses?

Sorry for the noob questions, i am new at this !
And can someone explain me what is the EMMC backup?? I read it in some threads and i can't find any help to understand it.

There is some guide for me to read, and get into?

!!Make sure that the sd card has 32 gigabytes of free space!!
Just load SX OS payload in RCM mode. Press Options -> NAND -> Dump NAND (It may take up to 2 hours).
After this in root of your sd card you get sxos folder which contains a backup (boot0/1 and raw NAND)
Copy this sxos/backup folder to your computer/external HDD/google drive/somewhere else, and delete from sdcard

Yes, if you use ChoiDujourNX for offline update with enabled AutoRCM after update - your fuses won't burn. (autorcm in ChoiDujourNX is enabled by default, but you can uncheck it after update)

eMMC it is a built-in non-volatile memory system. (built-in 32 gb storage)
So, backup of sysNAND it's same as eMMC backup.
