help installed x3 now open/close dosent work

i installed the x3 i think,hope corectly (blue x is present) and now i cant open cd trey or turn power off from front of the box i have to unplug the back to turn it off.do i have a defective reset/eject adaptor?help me please

Cozzzy,

try it with the reset/eject adaptor unplugged (take it out and plug the original plug back into the mobo, like it was before you installed it), also disconnect the switch bank on the front. you may have a connector the wrong way round or something.
