HELP! installed xecuter 2.6CE in a 1.6, now wont boot

Oops, posted in the worng forum, so gonna put it here now.

HEEELP!!!

Just installed my xecuter 2.6 (soldered) and for some reason it wont bood.

With the chip switched off, it boots to the m$ dashboard fine, but when i boot with the chip on, it'll come on for maybe 2 seconds, switch off, then on for 2 seconds, hten off, and then it comes back on with the eject button flashing red green alternatively.

also, if its any help, if i eject the dvd drive, it comes out 1cm, then stops for a second, then out one cm, then stops etc.

any help is much appreciated!! :)

Sorry, forgot to mention it was a 1.6 motherboard and i used a 1.6 rebuild circuit board :)

okay, i've gone over all the soldering twice now, and im still getting the same prioblem. :(

it's close to going out of the window now :(

any possibility it could be a faulty chip?? or evenincompatible with my xbox? it's a 1.6, but its brand spanking new...

That tutorial says its for a 1.0-1.5, as most points are unlinked on the 1.6?

I've got a video of whats happening that i'm just upping :)

i de-soldered and removed the 1.6 rebuild pcb, andinstalled wires myself, which seems a much better and cleaner way of doing it, in my opinion

www.freewebs.com/gjgrafix2/xbox.avi it's 15 meg, and if you turn up the volume, you can hear it clunking away. i'm gutted now, my xbox doesn't work at all.

also, looking here http://www.team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44122 it says that his x2.6 was flashed with a 1.0 - 1.5 bios, and was coming up with the same symptoms as mine.

could it be that my x2.6ce was shippes with bios versions 1.0-1.5, hence why it frag'd?

not a happy bunny right now, spent HOURS soldering/de soldering etc. and it still isnt working :(

I am getting the same exact problem on my 1.1 xbox. on, off, on, off, on, cycling red light. This is not after install, my modchip has been installed for over a year. just started doing this out of the blue. i disassembled and re-assembled and got it to boot xbmc once, then back to the issue.

I have the exact same problem ... i have redone the eaxt same thing ... and i have re-flashed my bios ... and still the cycle on of and then a red and green flashing lcd ... help!! could it be my hard drive or would i need a new chip?

i have a 1.6b, x2.6 ... and its been modded for about 2 years now ... then all of a sudden this happens.

hi i have a xbox 1.0 and i tryed 2 soft mod my xbox and i ****ed up and so i tryed fixing it with the x2.6 and i got it installed and my chip loads up but when i turn off my chip the xbox leds blink red/green with a black screen and when i turn the chip back on the chip loads to the bios screen can any 1 help me!?!?! need it badly i wanna play with xdmc

ok, i took a break from it for a while. took it apart, looked at all my points and overlooked all traces. everything is in order. and when i did get it to boot once or twice, i reflashed the bios, tried a couple different bioses even. that still didnt help it. then out of the blue one day it starts working again. it works for a good 2 days, then right back to the 3x reboot followed by frag. seems like i have a bad chip. thats the only thing i can see being the problem. but i would hate to buy a new chip and still have a problem.
