ok new problems, i flashed the chip with bios 3294 v16 (by box is a 1.6) anyway, after I flash it, it boots up once with a red light on the xecuter, then turns off, boots up again with a blue light then it turns off for good. (no VGA output the entire time) what now?

ok so you turn the xbox on after you flashed it.....when it turns red how long did you hold on to the power button and what did you have you banks on when you flashed it....
banks were on on off off off and i tapped the power button, and how should i set it after i flash it?
ok so i tried bios 1959 and it stays on, (boots red light, turns off then right after boots blue light then stays on) but no audio or video. What am i missing?

2. You may need to check pins 13 and 14 as I think there's a soldering issue there. You can test this yourself. Download X2CL (latest version) and flash the 1.6 BIOS from there to your chip. Try to boot from it. Remember your bank select switches!

hey i found the problem, the lil silver thing on the board that connects the trace to the actuall pin(pin14), got melted out of the board. In other words the pin is soldered into a blank hole in the board. DO you know if there is anywhere on the board i can attach a wire to to connect pin 14? i followed the trace and it looks like it goes to a chip to the right of the modchip(if you are looking on top of the board) the only thing is the chip has 8 solder points and 4 of them have the same voltage as pin 14.

It got melted?? I think your options are pretty clear:
1. Get someone to fix it. (pay them if needed)
2. Forget about trying to use an X3 BIOS and just use the latest X2.
You haven't the skills to do this yourself and will probably kill the Xbox if you try.

GOt a better idea, i just got a brand new xbox MB 1.6 for 38$ + 12$ shipping 
i havent comitted to paying for it yet, so if you know anywhere i can get it cheaper please let me know.

You realise that by changing the Motherboard you'll need a new HDD too (if the old one was locked)?
