RGH Help me decide what to do with my consoles

So I have a stock (will RGH soon) falcon with a bad DVD drive. I also have a stock Xenon with a working flashed Hitachi drive. Can I put my Hitachi in my Falcon and change the DVD key to match without getting any other hardware?

I need to make the Xenon w/Hitachi DVD drive (key) look like the Falcons Lite-on. I just don't know if I can do this without buying new hardware. Thanks guys! If I can then I will RGH the falcon

just glitch the falcon and leave the xenon alone. the drives will need spoofing to work at all but will still have issue's but a glitch console needs no drive anyway. new laser would sort it out and are £7 tops if it really mattered to you

i would agree with ^. but if you want to rip your own games you will need a disc drive.
i would replace the laser. really easy to do. many guides to help.

if your disc drive is completely dead (the drive wont even eject) then you will need to glitch your console, get the dvd key, and flash it to a new drive. look around you can find them cheap.

but i would keep the xeon all together unless it is already broke.

Or just buy a working liteon drive, and swap the pcb over from the broken drive to the new one. (Will need a small amount of soldering).

Then rgh the falcon console when you get chance. And you will have 2 good consoles.

Wow all great ideas guys, thank you! I may replace the laser, if not the I'll just remove the drive from the falcon all together and possibly put a HDD in its place, then RGH.

The Xenon was fixed by Xmods so I'm not worried about that. Its a solid system now. I will just leave it alone.
