help me figure this out

i have a v1.0 i installed 2.6ce works good, i need to flash was going to flash x2_5035 on bank 1. (is this correct so far)

here is where i am confused i want to swap hard drives to a wd250 (checked it was compatable), should i swap before i flash the chip or should i wait and make sure everything works correctly.

my next q's is regarding auto installers should i use one of these that includes a bios, dashboard and what not or should i do it a piece at a time. I also have a linux disc from smartxx, is this compatable.

i would also like to hook a keyboard and mouse to my xbox i have a magi box xfps will this work.

flash with x2 5035 bios bank 1
you can swap out new hard drive before or after
use Auto installer deluxe 3.10 to install XBMC if your going to use usb
linux OS will run on xbox use it as a app in XBMC
or do you mean linux the bios flashing bios

can xbmc support drives over 137+ or would i be better off using evox/evolutionx

the addapter that i have plugs into one of the controller ports and takes ps2 connections, like old still pc keyboard/mouse

the bios look after the hard drive size so that will be ok
XBMC supports usb and is by far the better dash around evox is very old and has not been updated in along time but XBMC has update builds all the time

ok thanx for the info i figured it out here some other things i figured out in the process of this mod.

1. always check your soldering no matter how good a job you think you did. and double check, check the whole board.

2.never,ever,ever,ever,ever try to flash bios with a cd/dvd, when you can ftp the box, tried for hours to make a disc work gave up and tried ftp took about a minute.

3. AID kicks ass makes things real easy replaced my harddrive with a WD250 with out a problem, without pc.(i didnt care about my game saves) however i did backup my old hard drive just in case.

4. Should be #1 but read this site over and over, but keep your info straight cause it gets confusing.
