so when i go to boot up the xbox with the mod chip it turn on for a sec turns off turns on for a sec turns off then turns on and has a blank screen with a green and red flashing eject button what do i do to fix this?

and i was wondering how do i clear the bios banks? or like forct update them

need alot more info.... like you xbox model... what bios you tried flashing... what chip you have...but what your xbox is doing is fragin because you may have flash the wrong bios..

allright i will tell it to ya i have an x3 and i tryed to flash the linux to one of the banks (1mb 5678) and i did have x3's live bios what ever they are called and after flashing the linux ones the other bank (1mb 1234) for the x3 live does not work it just does that turning on and off thing i have a v1.1 xbox

Frist off did you get the flash bios screen after you moded it.. If you did then you can get it back by holding the power and eject button at the same time then put your bank select to.. on on off off off, then frist try to flash it with whatever bios you want.. but I'd start with 1959 becuse there pretty rock solid..If you didn't get the flash bios screen then you need to recheck all your soldering connection.

so wait when i go to the backup bios on the cip am i able to nstall the bios on the normal banks? or just the backup one?

you can install on the back up or the main banks using the bank select

so to install on the 1mb bank 5678 do i load that bank or the backup bank because i have cromwell 2.40 bios on that and i want to get rid of it but i can't

your backup bios is separate from your other banks. You can press power button along with eject button to get on flashbios (backup bios). Set your switches to off on off off off for banks 5678 and then flash.
