Help me with dummy.bin!

These are the details:

• Windows 7 64 bit
• xbox 360 slim
• DVD Drive 16D4S
• powering dvd drive through xbox 360
• usb to sata cable (link below) into my laptop

• drivers would not install when I plugged it in

I have already tried:

• dseo
• F8 at startup

If I cannot be helped, I want to buy either x360usb pro, but I don't want to buy v2 unless it is 100% necessary. I am on a VERY tight budget here at college. Help me out or tell me whether to get v1 or v2 and where I can get it with overnight shipping.

get yourself a usbpro and a ck3i or usbprov2 and call it job done in seconds

USB to SATA will ONLY work with phat Hitachi drives - get an X360USB Pro v2 as instructed above.

Better off with v2.. Not recommended to use console as power source..v2 has power built in

v2 includes all the features of the v1, ck3i, and some extra stuff. if you have reliable way to power the drive (powering with the console is NOT recommended for a variety of reasons), then the v1 will do just fine. if you are hell-bent on using the console to power the drive, well, it's your stuff. a x360usbpro v1 will solve all sata-related problems.

You need two things, you can get X360USB pro v1 and ck3 mini which has built in fuse to protect your drive from fking up or you can pay little more to get more feature with X360usb pro v2. Read feature of v2 which is on this site, but go with v2, its going to save you $$$ on shipping and its only 1 item.

um, yes? your current board's SPI is almost assuredly locked. You can get your key all day long with a x360usbpro, but writing the new firmware is a bit of a challenge.. some research could have told you that..

That bundle includes the MXIC 'Sputnik' probe, you don't need anything else unless you have a Winbond chip.
