i need help. when i turn on my xbox and it is open my chip lights up but noothing happens on screen except for the xbox regular boot up and a warning that i need my xbox serviced, dont worry about that it is still taken apart, but when i put it back together the control panel doesnt do anything at All and my xbox boots up like normal. like i never put the chip in but the chip works. what should i do? :!:

Are you booting by doing a quick tap of the power button? Have you tried to boot to the backup by pressing the power+eject buttons? If those fail, check your D0 point.
i did both but ill check my do but it may not be on good because its hard to solder to that tiny point
if you think its hard then dont do it - cus you will f**k up everything as soldering to that point is actually easy

i figured it out. a pin meader on my chip that conects it to the control panel was broken off from factory so now i have to run a bridge

LOL I think I know a 13 year old who dosent curse. This kid in my advanced math class his parents are uber over protective. He dosent have the internet, they only have a MAC so he can type stuff. He can only watch one hour of TV a week, and I asked if he has ever seen a pic of a naked chick and he said know, I just laughed.

I dont think that xecuters response was out of line. I think soe of the others that went and bulligerantly said f*ck just to act cool or try and piss this kid off were out of line.
I believe in the abusive post warning it asks that if you have nothing helpful to say then dont say it.
The D0 isnt that bad of a point to solder to. Use a 15w iron, tin your wires and use paste flux. Hell if your that worried about messing it up take some clear nail polish and brush it around the D0 point, but not directly on the D0 point. This will help with any kind of solder splashes but wont help you with burning up the trace. If you dont think you can do it then dont. Send it to an installer. 150-200 for an xbox,60 for an X3- you can afford to pay anohter 30 to have it installed.

is someone going to reply with a helpful reply about if there is another alternative to fix my chip than bridging it to the control panel for the chip.btw i do cus sometimes.but i try to use non cus cus words like shiznit

also my 5v led isnt coming on and i have cheked my solder points a bunch of times and i have checked them with a voltage detector or whatever those things are that yopu put to the circut and it tells you if electricity can flow through properly
