I have 1.6 with x3 and 1959 no exo all my games are backup some work and some dont my 1.6 ,but all game work on my 1.4 with x2.2 and 4983. please help

i think 1.6s have samsungs and those new hitachi drives so search that up and what media works with them.

I am having a similar problem with my 1.2 xbox w/ Samsung dvd drive and western digital 250 gb hdd playing games off of the hdd, some freeze. However playing the original disk is no problem. I thought that the backup might be corrupt so I took halo 2 and put it on a software modded xbox via FTP and to my surprize the other xbox plays the backup with no problems.
Mine will start all of the games just fine but then while playing the game it will freeze sometimes with an audio loop. So far I have noticed the problem on bloodrayne 2, i-ninja, halo 2, and the simpsons hit & run, but have not had the problem in burnout 3, the incredibles, or x-men legends. Hopefully this is a bios problem and a new bios release will fix it. hopefully.

ok I just loaded x2 bios 4983 on block 5 of my x3 and have tried playing games off of the hdd with it and they work. which means this has to be a bios problem.

Unless you are playing off the original DVD, all games regardless of the source are backup. How are you putting the games on the HDD? Are you using something like DVD2XBOX to copy from the original disc that you own (since you said they are all original) to the HDD?cableyo said:I put a hd in with exo 3935. the games download but some play and some wont play off hd .the are original. no back up

Got a question, hope someone can shed some light on the subject. had a firmware mod done on a hitachi 0078k drive and it worked beautifully, this was before i learned how yo do it. I sent the console out to get the red rings fixed, and now the thing wont play back up games. Is there anyway to restore the mod or do i have to flash the drive again? Thanx for any help i can get.
