Help! Need alternative to Slayers Installer

Hi guys! I have my box flashed with 3924 and X is rocking me. I have a 120 gig HD formatted and ready for a dashboard. I can't download Slayers Autoinstaller 100+ MB file because I am on a dial up connection . I need an alternative.



Can I..oh and before I continue to post I apologize for not quite "getting it". I have read posts and posts and still need help. I am almost paranoid that Martin C is going to read this and flame me for being retarded. Ok back to my issue...



I have the 007 exploit with Softmod Installer and Exox/Unleash. I have used it to softmod two other xbox's successfully. Can I use this as a boot disk? Which brings up my next question how do I make a bootable disk? I am somewhat computer savvy, so I believe with some tutelage I can do it. I have made a bios CD that works, so I am guessing I will need to create the dummy file, but what else?



Please help! I need to get this thing working for my son for xmas.

After doing some reading I figured out yes I can put my unleash dash on with dummy file and boot.

So this is what I did:
1. Grabbed Files - dummy.bin, default.xbe, Config.xml and skins folder.
2. I created an ISO as I did when flashing bios..no multisession, finalize cd using a CDRW.
3. I set X3 Config Live/ Customize X3 Bios / Autostart X3 Config Live to Disabled.
4. I put the CD in my xbox and did a quick push.

It boots into the X3 Dash not my unleash x dash. I used the exact same media that I used and successfuly updated my bios with. What gives! What am I doing wrong? Do I need the switches set some way, they are all off now.

First, Nice Avatar. Do you have boot to x3cl enabled in the bios. Wait, that shouldn't matter. You can always ftp into the chip and install the dash that way. The user and pass are both x3. This is the easiest way. Put defaultxbe, though you need to rename it first to UnleashX. xbe or avalaunch. xbe or whatever you are using, and the config or xmlfile on C. Make sure the dash you are using is first in dash boot priority and disable boot to x3cl. Your switches should either be on on off off off or off on off off off.

Hi g$$$. Thanks for the note. I can http to 192.168.0.1 but it gives me the bios update page. I can not ftp to it. I am using x3 for user and pw. I checked the settings on the X3 dash and all is correct. I am not trying to be a know it all, but I read that you can't ftp when in the X3 dash. Oh well I give up for the night, my husband is mad at me for being on here all day...even more angry that I screwed up a softmod install. g'night.

Of course you can ftp while on X3 dash...but you need a ftp client like FlashFXP or similar software to to be able to transfer files to and from your xbox. I must agree to g$$$, very nice avatar!

YES! I used FlashFXP and it worked. I tried using FileZila and IExplorer last night and it did not work. I would have thought at least FileZila would have worked. Nonetheless, I have my dash installed and it boots great. Thanks so much g$$$ and islander223.
