Help needed installing Avalaunch

I need a step by step guide on how to install Avalaunch on my 1.3 Xbox with the X3 1959 BIOS flashed onto it without networking or anything and only using CDs.

I found a manual on the avalaunch site but it wasn't applicable to me, googled it and forum searched it... nothing.

ANY help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Why do you not want to use the ftp option? It is a hell of alot faster and alot less painless. You must atleast have a computer or you wouldnt have posted here?! :mrgreen:

yeah but it's taking forever to figure out how to network... i cant find a descent tutorial.

All I've done is hooked up the xbox to my network hub and i cant figure out what to do from here.

I can tell you how to set everything up networking wise... however I need to know what your network setup is currently.... i.e. router, etc...

Hey,
USe the search button. I posted many tutorials on networking in the past month or 2.
You can also find out a lot by doing a search on www.xbox-scene.com.

If you burn a file manager to the root of a disc and all the apps you want on your xbox in folders on the disc you can boot the disc and use the file manager to transfer all your apps to the xbox.

I posted this a few times also but here it is again. The rest you'll have to search for.

get flashfxp and install it in your pc....hook up the xbox...get in x3 config live! ftp in the IP address assigned to the xbox shown in the bottom right corner... ftp avalaunch.xbe and config.xml in E: drive...and declare it in x3 config live so it can load every time xbox starts...

I still need some assistance with what the boxes in the flashFXP should be like when connecting; a nice big detailed pic would be nice

Help me install evox auto installer now I have no idea what to do

My plan: Install evox through slayers auto-installer and from there, load avalaunch and unleashx onto my xbox..

WOW... you are making this WAY too complicated on yourself..... installing evox using slayers just to get avalaunch on there.... sheesh

Boot in to the x3 bios.

Open FlashFXP... click the lightning bolt button...
Put in the IP address that the xbox shows in the bottom left corner.
Username is 'x3' and password is 'x3'
Click connect.

Extract your avalaunch distrobution somewhere... and rename the default.xbe to something like avalaunch.xbe

Upload the avalaunch files to the XBOX C drive.

Edit the launch list in the x3 bios to have avalaunch.xbe listed somewhere high up.

Hit reboot to dash and you'll be good to go.
