Need Help Please ! Bad Serial on Lite-On 7485c

Hey there world of 360mods. Im not new to the site, been on it couple of times, just never had an account in the forums.
ive been flashing 360 drives for a while, all except these damn lite-ons!
since the ban wave, ive bought a new 360..and decided to mod it again ><
Im using the 360 to power my drive and using the Maximus USB Xtractor JungleFlasher Edition as my spear. Everything is being done on a Windows Vista 64-bit computer with onboard SATA.
These are my steps:
-power comp on.. and connect sata to drive
-power on 360 and wait awhile
-eject tray, pull power cord from back of drive
-push in half way, and reconnect power
-open up jungle flasher and go to dvdkey32 tab
-drive is shown and usb xtarctor is shown
-place xtractor on r707 hole and press button
-reads... then .. bad serial

am i doing something wrong ? :S
Please, can someone here help me.. thanks in advance!
ill post what my jungle flasher says aswell

I get exactly the same thing. I don't know why im getting it due to doing another lite-on drive and everything runs smoothly.

You're not setting the tray position properly - that will give you bad serial data. Go to http://jungleflasher.net/downloads.html and view the JungleFlasher Tutorial under Guides & Tutorials; it will tell you how to properly set tray half open. I don't have my connectivity kit yet so I just set the tray position manually, but it's all explained in the guide! Make sure you boot up your 360 with the drive unplugged - turn on the 360 and then connect the power to the drive. Before you connect the power to the drive through make sure the tray is half open (manually eject it, pull it open fully, then push it back halfway).

That doesn't always work though you may have to fiddle about with the tray until you get it right. The only other thing it could be is the probe is dead. :)

if the probe is dead, bridge both R707 with a small screwdriver instead of using the probe, it does the same thing

Re: Need Help Please ! Bad Serial on Lite-On 7485c

look on the lite-on PCB, there are two solder points labeled R707, one above the other

you don't need the probe, all you need to do is touch both of those at the same time with a small screwdriver or paperclip or something like that while extracting key

I was getting that same error message also...Fixed it by applying more pressure to the probe. Just try it a couple times at different angles and pressures and it will work for you. Patience.

Re: Need Help Please ! Bad Serial on Lite-On 7485c

This is starting to annoy me lol still cant get the key off with the probe and bridging the connections. It is bringing the correct light (BLUE) when i connect the probe to the R707 Port but still being stubborn.
